UprogHS 48 Portable
UprogHS 48 portable programmer with USB interface operates in two modes: stand-alone and standard PC hosted.
In stand-alone mode the built-in keyboard and LCD display allows easy operation management. This mode requires a memory card (SmartMedia) to store data files and devices in four databases. Device databases can contain any device from list with assigned data file. Contents of the device can also be read in stand-alone mode and saved onto card for further use. The database should be prepared using PC host and stored before using stand-alone mode.
Programmer UprogHS 48 portable working in PC hosted mode owns all features of UprogHS 48: wide device list, expansion possibilities - logic analyzer, EPROM simulator, etc.
Main features:
* 48 pin ZIF socket with universal pin drivers

PRESTO - Fast ICSP Programmer - PICS & more
PRESTO - fast and flexible USB programmer
PRESTO is a powerful, very fast and cost effective programmer for wide range of popular components - microcontrollers, serial EEPROM and Flash memory chip, CPLDs and others. PRESTO operates on the USB port and requires no external power supply.
High speed
PRESTO is optimized for speed and it is really very fast, for example the full PIC18F8720 is programmed and verified in 6 seconds! (3 seconds for programming and 3 seconds for verification). Complete eCOG1 in less than 3 seconds.
Many devices supported
Hundreds of devices are supported by the UP software and the list is growing continuously. Moreover, many other parts can be programmed using JTAG. For more information, see the paragraph "Wide range of supported devices" below.
Enhanced programming interface
In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP) is a very useful and often used PIC feature. PRESTO directly supports this function using a dedicated connector and an included cable. In comparison to other ASIX' programmers, the ICSP connector is enhanced - there are two more pins allowing support of wider range of components such as Atmel's MCUs, devices with JTAG interface and many serially programmable memory chips.
The target application device can be either powered by PRESTO (5 V nominally) or can be powered by an application within a voltage range from 3 to 5 V (with 10% tolerance, i.e. 2.7 to 5.5 V).
Overcurrent limitation of target supply and programming voltages remarkably reduces the risk of damaging the parts because of user mistakes. Target supply overvoltage detection is also implemented.
Advanced software
The program UP supports PRESTO as well as other ASIX' programmers. It offer many advanced functions like projects, command line control, Windows message control, workspace setup including user keyboard shortcut definitions, serial number generation by various methods etc.
Devices with JTAG interface and eCOG microcontrollers are supported by dedicated programs eCOG Programmer and JTAG SVF Player.
The software upgrade is freely available for all users on the Internet. It contains new device support, new functions and algorithm updates when required.
Comfortable user interface
GO button allows user to start device programming comfortably, without need of PC keyboard or mouse. LEDs indicate programmer status - green LED ON-LINE informs about USB connection and yellow LED ACTIVE indicates that PRESTO is just working (programming, reading, ...).
PRESTO is powered from the USB bus, so there is no need for any additional supply adaptor.
PRESTO is small, lightweight and compact.
Wide range of supported devices
* Microchip PIC® MCUs
Serially programmable (all Flash and the most popular OTP/JW)
* Atmel AVR® and 8051 architecture MCUs
Devices with SPI low voltage serial downloading - for example ATtiny12, AT90S8535, ATmega128 and AT89S51
* Cyan Technology eCOG1
Including basic debug control via eICE interface (Run, Stop, Reset).
* Components with JTAG interface
- types which can be programmed using SVF or XSVF file - for example
o CPLD - Xilinx (XC95xx, CoolRunner, ...), Altera and others
o FPGA configuration Flash PROMs - Xilinx (XC18Vxx, XCFxxS)
o Atmel ATmega
* Serial EEPROM and Flash memories

ISP2ZIF - Programming Adapter with ZIF Socket
ISP2ZIF is an adapter for programming of all types of devices with In-Circuit Serial/In-System Programming (ICSP/ISP), especially with the PRESTO programmer.
The adapter is provided with the 40-pin Zero Insertion Force socket (ZIF) which accepts 300 to 600 mils wide devices.
ISP2ZIF works well for most of programmable devices like Microchip PIC® and Atmel AVR and AT89S ('51 architecture) microcontrollers in DIP packages up to 40 pins. The user can connect any device pin to any of 7 programming signals (VPP/13V, VDD, GND, DATA/MOSI, CLOCK, MISO, LVP).
Typical usage example:
The user connects the ISP2ZIF to the PRESTO using a ICSP cable supplied with the programmer. Device to be programmed (e.g. PIC or AVR MCU) then smoothly fits into the ZIF socket. The user then connects programming signals to corresponding pins of the device by plugging jumpers to appropriate positions in the pin array.
It is also possible to use the ISP2ZIF as a prototyping board.
